Lewre Uses Ebay To Expand International Presence

KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 (Bernama) -- Lewre, Malaysia's high-fashion shoe
brand, is using the eBay online sales channel to further expand its
international sales and presence.
The company recently launched its inaugural online store on eBay, the
world's largest online marketplace for clothing, shoes and accessories.
"Demand for Lewre's unique, detailed and durable designs has grown so
much over the years that, today 60 per cent of our annual revenue come
from overseas," said the Chief Executive Officer of Lewre International,
Datuk Lewre Lew Fong Voon.
He said by participating in the eBay for Business program, the company
gets free consultation and selling support from ebay's Trading
Assistant.
With all these benefits it makes perfect sense for the company to sell
on eBay instead of setting up their own online store, he added.
In Malaysia, the export of apparel and clothing accessories amounted to
RM3.86 billion in 2009, with the United States, Mexico and Turkey being
among the top export destinations. --BERNAMA
